Sekisui Chemical established

Corporate philosophy: to create social value through corporate activities.

1947

Daiichi Pure Chemicals established

Start of domestic production of in-vitro diagnostic reagents in Japan.

1979

Diversification into medical market

Sekisui Chemical diversifies into the medical market.

1984

Medical and diagnostics business established

Sekisui Chemical establishes a medical business division and launches a diagnostics business.

2006

Group expansion with Daiichi Pure Chemicals

Daiichi Pure Chemicals becomes part of the SEKISUI Group.

2008

Sekisui Medical established

Merger of SEKISUI Chemical’s Medical Business Division and Daiichi Pure Chemicals.

XenoTech joins the SEKISUI Medical Group

Acquired US-based Xenotech.

2010

Sekisui Medical Technology (China) established

Merger of Beijing SEKISUI Trank Medical Technology (a SEKISUI Chemical subsidiary) and Shanghai Daiichi Diagnostics (a SEKISUI Medical subsidiary company).
